steps to do
01
Identify and isolate the characteristic that you want to use in your solution:
A
Write down some characteristic you want to explore. I.E. start from the insights or opportunities emerged during the discovering phase.
B
Use Marie Kondo or Flock of Birds methods to isolate a cluster or a group in which there is a characteristic you want to explore.
02
Do a benchmark research in order to identify parallel worlds where this characteristic is well designed.
03
Identify the platform from which you want to gather the data and use the Tools to build your set of digital traces. Build a corpus of images for each parallel world that you found in point 2. Be sure to have some metadata.
04
Order your dataset according to the metadata that you believe it is more important and downsize it up to 50 images.
05
Design and print the cards for your co-designing session. On the back side of each card put the metadata that is interesting for the research.
06
Analyze the cards during the co-design session: find behaviour, services, activities, emotions or situations that are well designed and write them on some post-its.
07
Create connections among those inspirations and your field of investigation. Think how those inspirations would look like in the context in which you’re designing.
WHAT NEXT
Open Mic
Focus on one idea and generate between 3 and 5 statements that describe the main characteristic of that group. Than use these statements as starting point to stimulate further the conversation inside the work team.
